FAQ

How many cards can I move at once?

The maximum sequence length you can move is (empty free cells + 1) ร— 2empty columns. With 4 empty free cells and 2 empty columns you could move up to 20 cards at once.

Can every deal be won?

Nearly all FreeCell deals are solvable โ€” only about 1 in 1000 random deals is unsolvable. If you get stuck, use the Undo button to backtrack and try a different path.

Is my best score saved?

Yes โ€” your lowest move count for a winning game is saved automatically in your browser's local storage and persists between sessions.

Why can't I move this sequence?

You don't have enough free cells and empty tableau columns. Move some cards to free cells first, or clear a tableau column to unlock more capacity.

Can I move a card off the foundation?

No โ€” once a card reaches a foundation pile it stays there. Plan your foundation moves carefully.
