Scoring

Is my best score saved?

Yes — your longest winning streak is saved in your browser's local storage and persists between sessions.

What happens to my streak when I lose?

Losing resets the current streak to zero. Click "New Game" to start fresh with a new word.

What if my guess isn't in the word list?

Only words from the built-in word list are accepted. If your 5-letter guess isn't valid, the row will shake and a message will appear.

Can a letter appear more than once in the word?

Yes! Words can have repeated letters. Yellow/green feedback accounts for duplicates — if you've already placed a letter correctly, extra occurrences may show gray even if the letter exists.
